Hello my lovely,

This week I was reviewing marketing from a few different salons and spas.

Within five minutes I noticed something. They all sounded… exactly the same.

The captions all had the same structure. The same overused words. The same emojis.

The same generic advice. Then I started looking at the images.

One treatment room had somehow changed colour.

A product bottle had a completely different label.

Another post had fingers that didn’t quite look like fingers.

One even had packaging that the brand has never actually produced.

I immediately knew what had happened.

AI had created the content...

...and nobody had checked it.

Now before anyone misunderstands me...

I absolutely LOVE AI.

In fact, here’s another one of my weeks stories, I was trying to enrol in an advanced AI business programme to make sure I’m staying ahead of what’s coming next.

I kept saying I will do it tomorrow...

Sold Out.

Lesson learnt.

But here’s something I believe even more strongly.

AI is an incredible assistant.

It is a terrible replacement for your brand voice.

I’m seeing more and more businesses asking AI to create a month’s worth of content in minutes...

...then copying and pasting it straight onto social media without editing, fact-checking or making it sound like them.

The problem?

Your audience notices. Maybe not consciously...

...but subconsciously they start feeling disconnected.

Your posts become less human. Less believable. Less memorable. And sometimes they’re simply wrong.

I’ve seen AI:

  • Change product packaging.
  • Invent ingredients that don’t exist.
  • Recommend treatments incorrectly.
  • Write captions that sound nothing like the business.
  • Create beautiful images that aren’t even possible in real life.

The scary part isn’t that AI makes mistakes.

The scary part is that businesses don’t notice the mistakes before they publish them. 

Your brand is one of your biggest assets.

Every incorrect image. Every inaccurate caption.

Every piece of generic content slowly chips away at the trust you’ve spent years building.

That’s why I keep saying...

Don’t let AI replace your thinking.

Let it accelerate your thinking.
