
First Time in a Long Time Our Spa Exceeded Target 🎉
Hello my lovely,
This past week, I wrapped up the final session of the Retail Masterclass, and I have to tell you… I was completely humbled by the feedback.
I mean, I know my systems work (I’ve seen it time and time again), but to witness such real, tangible results in such a short time absolutely made my heart shine. Truly, it was the highlight of my week.
Well — actually, tied with another highlight. My dad turned 95 years old! 🥳 Can you believe it? What a champion. I’m counting the days until I get to see him next month.

Back to the Masterclass. Let me share a story that sums up why I do what I do.
On Sunday, I decided (last minute, as one does!) to go for a massage at one of the spas that had just completed the program. My therapist, Refilwe, could barely wait to get me into the room before she put everything down, looked me in the eye, and said:
“Marisa, thank you for changing my life and for helping us change here as a team and as a business. We’re all doing so well, and it’s all thanks to what you taught us. I want you to know how much we appreciate you.”
And then she hugged me. 💛 Let me tell you, I nearly cried right there in the treatment room.
After the massage, she could have let me leave (I mean, I have a warehouse full of product, right?). But instead, she took me to the front, sat me down, and recommended two products — explaining their benefits just like I had taught her. I was blown away. Not because I need the products, but because she had the courage, professionalism, and care to do it properly.
That moment was only possible because her manager, Samantha, didn’t just “train and hope.” She implemented, checked, and made sure the new habits stuck. That is leadership in action. 👏
So, what’s the message this week?
Change doesn’t come from demanding or “telling” your team what to do. Real, lasting change comes when you:
✨ Lead by example
✨ Role play and practice with them
✨ Put the right tools in place
✨ Check consistently
✨ And always, always give praise
When you do this, it becomes part of the culture — and that’s when the magic happens.
