Happy Friday,

This week has been... a lot.

My daughter Daniela left for Japan on a school tour (eeek excitement delux), I surprised a friend for her 50th, and four of us went on a Mi Casa party cruise for three nights. Somewhere in between, I hosted my Brand Partner Meeting... from the casino floor at 10:30am because it was the quietest place on the ship. (at that time).

And now I’m in final preparations for the World Spa & Wellness Convention in Spain next weekend, flying out on Monday.

Whirlwind is an understatement.


But here’s the interesting part...

On the cruise, of course, I had to visit the spa. I booked a massage every single day. Check my view from my treatment room....

 

And it got me thinking.

👉 How personalised are your treatments, really?

Most people will immediately say, “Very.” But when you really look at it...

most treatments are done on repetition mode: same flow, same products, same experience.

WHY PERSONALISATION MATTERS

1. It creates a true experience, not just a treatment

When something feels designed just for the client it becomes memorable.

2. It drives buying behaviour

When clients feel the difference, they trust your recommendations and they buy.


WHAT REAL PERSONALISATION LOOKS LIKE

This is where most spas are missing it. It’s not about asking more questions.

It’s about changing the experience in real time.  Here some ideas off the top of my head without giving it too much thought!

👉 Let your client choose their environment

  • Music or curated playlists (calm, energy, detox, sleep)
  • Lighting (soft, warm, colour-based mood)
  • Scent in the room based on outcome

 

👉 Use different tools for different outcomes

  • Cups on thighs for circulation and cellulite
  • Deeper tools for tension areas
  • Gentle techniques for relaxation zones

 

👉 Layer your treatment intentionally

  • Muscle gel for back and shoulders
  • Circulation oil for legs
  • Nourishing balm for arms

 

👉 Introduce temperature therapy

  • Hot compress for tight areas
  • Cold therapy for inflammation or fatigue

 

Because this is the shift:

👉 From treatment → to experience

👉 From routine → to intention

 

👉 One size fits all... fits no one.

 

And when your client feels that everything from the scent, to the pressure, to the products was chosen just for them...

 

That’s when they rebook.

That’s when they trust you.

That’s when your numbers grow.
